Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates – 06 May 2026: The Rabdan Security and Defence Institute (RSDI) successfully convened a high-level closed-door roundtable entitled “States’ Adaptation to Strategic Competition”, marking the launch of a broader series of strategic dialogues aimed at examining key geopolitical trends in 2026 and their implications for regional development and global stability.
The roundtable brought together a distinguished group of experts and practitioners to discuss how states are responding to evolving patterns of strategic competition and the wider geopolitical, security, and policy challenges arising from the actions of state and regional actors.
The session was moderated by Dr. Wan Zokhri Idris, Research Fellow at the Rabdan Security and Defence Institute, and featured prominent experts from leading policy and research institutions, including Dr. Wang Tingyi from the Anwar Gargash Diplomatic Academy and Mr. Mohamed Abdul Rahman Baharoon, Director General of B’huth Dubai Public Policy Research Centre.
The discussion provided valuable insights into emerging strategic dynamics, regional security considerations, and the policy adaptations required to navigate an increasingly complex international environment.
