Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates – 21 May 2026: The Rabdan Security and Defence Institute played an active role at the Abu Dhabi Global Sustainable Security Summit, contributing to key discussions on national resilience, crisis preparedness, and the future of security through a series of expert-led engagements.
As part of the event’s programme, the Institute organised and delivered sessions on “Societal Readiness and National Resilience in Crisis Situations” and “Intra-agency Collaboration and Joint Command.” These sessions brought together practitioners, policymakers, and researchers to exchange insights on strengthening crisis preparedness, enhancing interagency coordination, and advancing whole-of-government approaches to resilience.
The Institute also participated in roundtable discussions on “Predictive Security and Intelligence Futures” and “Future Security and Resilience Leaders and Research.” The discussions explored the implications of emerging technologies, evolving security challenges, and the importance of developing future-focused research and leadership capabilities to address an increasingly complex threat landscape.
Through its participation, the Institute reinforced its commitment to advancing research-informed dialogue, fostering international collaboration, and contributing to innovative approaches that enhance security, resilience, and preparedness. The engagement also provided an opportunity to exchange knowledge with experts and decision-makers from around the world while supporting efforts to shape the future of security and resilience.
